Club members Betty Dalrymple and George Halkiades distributed more than 200 dictionaries to 3rd grade students at Bartlesville elementary schools in early 2009. The Dictionary Project is a national Rotary initiative with the goal of providing every student with his or her own dictionary. In cooperation with the Daybreak Rotary Club, the Bartlesville Rotary Club furnished free dictionaries to every 3rd grader in the city.
